Diva Gray and Oyster - St Tropez 1979
Diva Gray (Deborah Gray her real name) vocalist and chorus girl who began her professional career with Harry Belafonte along with Vivian Cherry, Gwen Guthrie and Lani Groves participated in numerous projects. This was leveraged by Kenny Lehman for the Chic project. She also worked for Jacques Fred Petrus (Peter Jacques Band) as a backup singer, this project attracted the attention of Columbia executives and led to the Oyster Project. This produced a solo LP, Diva Gray and Oyster, of which her song St. Tropez was a hit on all the discotheques.
