Chic - Dance, Dance, Dance - female disco track with Alfa & Norma Jean on sung-together vocals

Nile Rodgers & Bernard Edward's pet group. They previously recorded with The Big Apple Band and appeared in songs such as "I'm doin' fine now" (New York City) and "A Fifth of Beethoven" (Walter Murphy). "Dance, dance, dance (Yowsah, yowsah, yowsah)" is an archetypal disco song with a thumping bassline that can't easily be beaten. "Everybody dance" is a good follow-up, listen to the amazing LP bassline. Much covered in the 70's and 90's; even by The Players Association. "Le Freak" was a very big seller and spent 6 weeks at no. 1 in the US charts - returned in the 80's as "Jack le Freak". Further disco releases were "I want your love", "Good times", "My forbidden lover", and "My feet keep dancing". Notable is "Good times"; an oft-sampled bassline (The Sugarhill Gang especially).
